Pregnant Christian Woman Sentenced to Death in Sudan, (Update: Miriam Released!)

   Update: August 3rd

Miriam Ibrahim arrived in New Hampshire safely with her family. They have escaped the horrors of Sudan and have made it to the USA finally to start their life in a land that for now tolerates Christianity.

    Praise God for this report.

Here is the article from the ACLJ:

   Update: June 24th

Miriam Ibrahim was released from custody and charges were dropped in Sudan. Monday the 23rd, her lawyer confirmed this, as the appeals courts overruled the lower courts -- setting her free.
Praise God for this, Miriam recently had her second child in prison and was awaiting her punishment of being flogged and hanged for essentially marrying a Christian man and not recanting her faith.

Open Doors says Sudan is 11th on the world list of the most dangerous places for Christians to live or visit. Groups like the ACLJ and others who actively campaigned for her release are happy about this ruling, yet also trying to hold Sudan accountable for holding her in prison for 126 days for being a Christian, denying the father the ability to see his child birthed. Also, they are trying to ensure this doesn't happen to others.

Groups are also trying to get Miriam asylum to the US, so she and family can live peaceable lives. Not sure what the hold up is for this, considering her husband is America, but when we have a Muslim in the White House, we can see why.

   Praise Jesus for this report.

As a good example of what Sharia law is really about, we can look to a case in Sudan where a 27 year old pregnant woman has been sentenced to death by hanging for merely being a Christian.

Miriam Ibrahim is from a Muslim family, but never considered herself a Muslim. Her recent marriage to Daniel Wani who is a US citizen has caused her to be charged for adultery and blasphemy for not recanting her Christian faith. This is the fruits of following the Koran where it has no tolerance towards those who don't believe in the Koran, especially Christians.

The sentence was handed down Sunday May 15th, but did allow for the pregnant Sudanese woman to first have her child before she was flogged and hanged. She is in confinement now with her 20 month old boy.

The US congress did pass a bi-partisan resolution condemning this sentence Wednesday May 21st. Yet, this is merely lip service when the woman's husband is even a US citizen, and therefor so are their children. Where is the President and Secretary of State in this ordeal?

The pregnant Christian woman has been in prison for three months, but this became known around the world after she was sentenced to death for leaving Islam, which she never even believed in. Her father who left her when she was a girl, was Muslim, so Sharia law says she has left the faith, although she was raised by her Christian mother.

This story shows the intolerance and insanity that comes with Sharia law. Those who follow the Koran closely have fruits like this and like Boko Haram who kidnapped the girls in Nigeria recently. The reason Islam is a religion with bad fruits from it's sincere believers is because it was created by the Vatican to kill the Jews and Bible believers in N. Africa. The Vatican and Islam are serving their father, Satan, and stories like this show us proof.

Here is a report from Breitbart with more details:

Couple Fined by Police For Feeding the Homeless in Daytona Beach, FL

cc from

Have you heard about the Daytona Beach police in Florida stopping Chico and Debbie Jimenez from feeding the homeless in a public park?!

This happened recently, where this couple who have a ministry called: -- they have been called by Jesus to feed and minister to the homeless people around Daytona Beach, FL. They started with only a few people they helped and it grew to a weekly gathering of around a hundred individuals and families which they feed and ministered to in a public park.

The police then one day decided it was illegal and cited six of them who were administering the charitable service. The fines were near $300 each, so that's nearly $2,000 in fines they are expected to pay because they dared to feed the homeless! And they aren't allowed to do it anymore either, for no reason.

There was no sign or law saying it was illegal to feed the homeless, so what is the problem? They are wondering the same thing while being interviewed on by Rick Wiles yesterday May 19, 2014.

This is two individuals who are down-to-earth, born-again believers in Jesus Christ, who care about the homeless people enough to start a ministry and quit their jobs to work it. They were/are simply following the Word of God and helping those who are in need. (Mathew 25:35 For I was hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:)

What a strange country we are living in when good people are being fined for feeding the homeless. How can anyone rationalize this behavior from the government, when this couple and the homeless they were helping were perfectly in order and left no mess after they were done using the Public park?

Sounds like another New World Order ploy, simply Satan using people as tools to kill, steal, and destroy. Those tools being the government this time.

Here is the Trunews show (Interview in the second half):

Update on this story: Chico and Debbie's fines were dropped, but they are still not allowed to conduct feedings for the homeless in the park. Here is an updated story:

Macro Evolution is a Religious Belief (Kent Hovind Video)

cc from

Kent Hovind presents another great presentation here in this video. His intelligent and wise words put to rest the lie of evolution with facts and evidence of it's falseness. Truly macro-evolution is a religion that is being taught as factual science.

It's easy to see why Kent Hovind was sent to prison since 2007 for some bogus tax charges. It's because he was doing great damage to the theory of evolution and exposing the NWO agenda for the world. His presentations and debates he conducted and was part of for a couple decades, made a great impact and still do.

I like Kent's humor and light heart dealing with these difficult subjects, he shows us that although the NWO is carrying out their nefarious plans, don't worry, we Christians win in the end. He's not ignorant of the difficulties we are facing and will face in the future, but his trust in the Lord Jesus doesn't allow him to become disheartened.

Watch this video, and if you haven't heard of Kent Hovind you should study his work and learn some great information about how macro-evolution is a complete fabrication that has no evidence whatsoever. Kent is still in prison as of today, but is looking to get out in February 2015. He was sentenced for 10 years in reality for proving the theory of evolution wrong and connecting it to the agenda of the secret societies that are in power today.

This video in particular talks about the dangers of evolution, it's not just a dumb theory, but dangerous. The dangers are obvious in the fruit that it bears in those who believe it. Kent explains this theory is at the root of all of societies' ills we face, of course the author of this theory being Satan which planted the seed. I would encourage atheist and people who believe in macro evolution to watch too, and stop calling their religion facts and shoving it down everyone's throats -- if they have any integrity at all.

Don't Give Up, There's A Way With Jesus.

cc from
Lately I haven't been looking at the news very much. When I do look at news it's from,, or other Christian watchmen sources. I do listen to Internet radio broadcasts and preaching throughout the week. Yet, I still know all the madness is going on out there, especially in the bigger cities. I used to read the stories every day on the Drudge Report and just be in shock at the perplexing madness that is pervading this country. If you found one odd story, there were related ones at the bottom, and then more on the bottom of those. Basically the madness is never ending in these cities in America alone. I can't even fathom the immensity of the dilemma encompassing the whole world.

The problem is sin, but Jesus is bigger than the problem. I know that Jesus is the answer so many people need to hear about. They are searching for an answer everywhere except Jesus it seems. They think they already know what this Jesus is about. Truth is they don't know anything, if they don't know Jesus is the truth, the way, and the life. The second part of that verse is very important as well, because it says no-one comes to the Father but by him. That is the part people like Oprah want to refute. They think there is many ways, even though this makes no sense at all. (John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.)

cc from
The Good Shepherd Jesus
There is a cold dark shadow growing over the land more and more. The coldness is cutting people off from the warmth of a loving God. There are so many people in need, but God has me where he wants me, doing what he wants me to be doing. I trust this is true, even though it may not seem like I'm doing much when I mow lawns for a living. Still, people like an 85 year old woman (my customers), who needs to be edified by the preaching of the cross again, this is important to God. Jesus loves all of us equally, one is not more important than another. So, he puts each of us on assignment to help those he sees are in need. I'm only one person living a small life, but he uses me every day I submit to His will. (James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefor to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.)

As my wife and I sanctify ourselves and set our lives apart for the Lord, we are starting to grow in the grace and love of God. I feel my insides un-thawing from the warmth of God's love. Even when I have people who make me out to be the worst enemy to humanity who has ever wrote an article, even when people are so sure I'm an ignorant fool who is insecurely hanging on to a fantasy called the Holy Bible – even then, and especially then, can I see what I have is so very special. See, none of it moves me, and all I do is grow more compassionate and warm towards others. I care more about people, strangers, friends, family, and even enemies than ever before. Even when I see the willingly ignorant foolishness that pervades America and the world, I'm still growing in the grace of Jesus. (Colossians 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;)

At times I get this sad feeling, this burdened feeling, and I start to think about how certain people are feeling in my family or with friends. I even think about general types of people, and begin to empathize with their plights as if it were mine. I see people walking and I see the pain in them, and I sense this cold embrace they are struggling with. I realize how cold this world can be when there is no-one there to love us and we don't know God.

cc from
Beyond my own experience in life, I imagine the experiences others have. I really try to imagine the intricacies that make up their life, whether good or bad. I begin to understand why they are the way they are to some small degree I start to empathize with them. At this point I start to feel that burden thinking about the young person who has experienced such a cold life void of love from their parents or guardians. The young are in danger because they don't know there is a better way, they are engulfed in their own self perception without the experience of living life and gaining confidence in overcoming obstacles. It's as if they are so distraught they don't think they can even begin to overcome the obstacles of life in front of them. The future looks so bleak and the support they have is so non-existent, they can't find the courage to even try. This kind of fatalistic mentality in a teenager can't be understood by the generations of the Boomers or older. Only the X generation and younger can understand this bleakness. There are exceptions of course in every generation.

I worry about these young people, but I also worry about the older people who have failed so many times and hurt so many people, they now want to end it all and be done. They feel there is no reason to continue and that their life is a failure anyway. They may think no-one cares about them, and that they are basically useless anyways, so why not be done with it all. How utterly dark and cold this world can be without the warmth and light of the Love of Jesus! (John 11:10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.)

Can I encourage you friends, can I say to you that I have love for you. Will you accept that I care, and would you believe me if I told you that God loves you and there is a better way with Jesus? This is the good news that you need to hear. It's news for you, news that you want to hear, cause this world's news isn't going to make you better, this world's advice isn't going to fill you with love and warmth. This world isn't going to care about you when you are down and out, or not in your right mind anymore. Have you ever noticed worldly people scatter when we become useless to them. I know, I've been homeless before and down, living in the bushes. No-one was rushing over to be my friend, but that was OK, because I only wanted real people around me anyway. (2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.)

The real people are the born-again Christians, this is what I've found to be true. Not because we need each other to validate our fantasy we believe in with desperation and naiveté. It's because we care about people, cause our God created people and loves them enough to send Jesus Christ, His Son, to die for our sins, so we can be saved from hell and the lake of fire. We are real people because we see the reality of the world without the world's perspective blinding us to their lies. We are real people because we find a way to have joy and be unselfish in a world that thrives off being selfish and hateful. And we are real because we are single minded. ( John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.)

We were not always like this though, we born-again Christians were once lost and blind like many are now, in despair, in that cold embrace the world leaves us in when we are not worth their accolades. You can be warmed in God's love, you can have a friend that sticks closer than a brother, Jesus is this friend. He is a present help in times of trouble. If you call on him, and invite him into your heart, believe that he is the son of God, then you will be warmed and loved by Jesus as we have been. ( Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.)

cc from
I just want to encourage you, the people who think they're invisible and under everyone's radar, the people who can't think straight because of the pain and trauma caused by those who were supposed to love them. I want to encourage you, to shed light upon you, to speak clearly to you – that you have a purpose in this life. Your purpose is as great as anyone, God made you for a reason, and if you allow God to love you then you will find this purpose and live a life you thought was impossible.

The reason I'm writing this post is to reach out to those who are thinking about ending it all, who are thinking about giving up, who are discouraged enough to let destruction take them over. Whatever problems you are facing, God can solve them, whatever pain and trauma those who were supposed to love you caused, God can heal you. That cold embrace the world has shown you, is not what God's plan is for you, because he wants you to have hope and love through his Son Jesus Christ. God has a plan for each of our lives if only we look towards the light, and then walk with Jesus in his love the rest of our days. It's not hard to accept a wonderful gift like this, give God your burdens, let go of your pain, and embrace the love God has for you.

( 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.)

An Acute Sense of Our Mortality Creates Empathy

pic I took of Lookout Point, Oregon
Sometimes when I wake up from a nap I have this uncanny sense of my mortality. It's almost as if time has paused and I can perceive life in it's precarious state without the rush of the brain computer's conditional upload. Soon enough the brain's upload comes and I'm back to the normal thought patterns I'm used to. Still, I wonder if everyone has this sensitivity when they wake up from naps?

My mortality is a fleeting thought in my normal state, I'm aware on some level that this is an undeniable conclusion to this mortal flesh. I'm also a believer that the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead will raise me up too, when this mortal fleshly body does pass away. Even so, something stops me from grasping the immensity of this reality. Try as I might, the ever burdening tasks of daily life clutters my brain sufficiently enough to cause a dull conditional normalcy of thinking. Only in rare instances, will I break through this membrane, and mostly this is when I wake up from a daytime nap.

I used to be a weed smoker, and I would fall asleep after smoking all day. Then when I woke up I would feel crazed and have to get right back to smoking again. This would feel very good, and I think it is because the demons were trying to get me to miss out on the sense of urgency that comes when getting an acute sense of my mortality. I'm not talking about an obsession with death, but of an awareness that maybe God is trying to show me -- to give me the drive and focus for being empathetic towards my fellow man.

There is so much evil going on around the world everyday. Our lives are generally such a small part of this largeness. We struggle to comprehend the immensity of the whole scene and gather it's meaning. Prayer is the only way I can attain solace in the madness of the world today. By praying for God to take these burdens, praying to help people in need, praying for everything I can muster to think of everyday. This helps, I can have some part in fighting for those who oppose themselves, who are innocent and being preyed upon. The fight is raging on so many levels, yet we must carry on in our daily lives or the machine will eat us up and leave us on the streets. I know God will provide always and I'm not afraid of being homeless, but my wife and I have other people to think about being there for.

cc from
Us Christians who have seen through the illusion, who know about the NWO conspiracy, who know about demons and the wiles of the Devil. We are rare and outnumbered in this wicked time. The confusion is so thick and the mockers so loud, the religious so stiff-necked. It's a testament to the power of Jesus Christ that we choose to become so “crazy” in the majority of the world's eyes. I don't know about you, but it's an easy choice for me, cause I never thought much of this world anyway. Even when I rejected Jesus in my early 20's I couldn't stand what I was seeing in the people here in America. The superficial hypocrisy made me sick, and finding the truth has validated my gut feelings and given me a sense of sanity in this insane world. Yes, the word of God is true, look at how it describes this end times world to a tee (2 Timothy 3).

I've had to deal with some grandparents whom I loved dying, but I haven't had to feel the sting of death in a loved one who died unexpectedly. I have to be careful and thoughtful in my walk day to day, to be mindful of the burdens some people carry because they have felt the sting of death from a loved one. We have to have a deep sense of empathy, we have to strive for this understanding of the burdens others have, before we start to discern the problems they have because of these occurrences. Does that make sense to you? I hope it does.

When I wake up from a nap, there is such a sadness and empathy in my soul. I look at my wife and think about if she died how hard this would be for me to deal with. I think about if I died and how she would deal with it. I realize how precarious life is and how frail we are as humans. I can only pray and seek strength in the Lord Jesus to relieve this acute sadness.

Those who are scoffers and mockers of the cross, they truly know not what they do. They are hardened in a way that they can't reach that place inside themselves that has empathy for others. Their bowels of compassion are shut up and wanting, their sensitivity is numbed out with selfish pleasures, drugs, and other sin. Although they malign me and the other remnant Christians, although they hate us for no cause, really they are crying out for mercy. These hardened souls are heading for a massive burden, one that compiles all the smaller burdens they've ignored all-together into a climatic breaking point. No human can stand the punishment that they are heading for. We must pray mercy for them, we must remit their sins and not retain them.

Blessed be the poor and meek in spirit. We are broken and needful of Jesus Christ, we represent honest humanity, for humanity is broken and in need of Jesus Christ. Those who think they are strong in their own self, are deceived and in reality weak and in need of a savior. We have fallen from grace, we are in need of help from God, there is an enemy after our souls. Take heart broken warriors, we have a helper in Jesus Christ. He will take our burdens and heal our brokenness and we will give him the glory and praise always for his wonderful amazing gift of salvation.

Hebrews 13: 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave the, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will fear what man shall do unto me.

The Four Fold Attack of Satan

cc from
The Enemy of God
On Omegaman radio one night there was a guest named Benjamin Baruch. He was teaching us about the four fold attack of the Devil. Ever since this, I've seen the truth of his teaching in my life and it has helped me to understand the nature of the enemies' wiles (Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil).

The front attack is when the Devil tries to thwart us through our intellect. This snares many people today as they are relying on their own intellect to explain this existence. Truth is our intellect is limited and conditional, and that some people are very intelligent, this doesn't make them wise with Godly wisdom (Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding).

The attack from the left, is the lusts of this world. Pleasure, sex, fame, money, sensual and selfish gain is what the Devil tries to tempt us with from the left side attack. Of course in the occult, the left handed path means the path of darkness, which they think is light, but is actually the path of rebelliousness and evil. This attack gets many people snared in the bondage of sin, whether it's porn, drugs, fornication, adultery, or any other iniquities that appeal to the carnal man ( Mark 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful).

The third attack is from the back. This is the Devil bringing up the past, making you feel ashamed and burdened with all the sin you have committed in the past. Although a Christian has been forgiven, the Devil knows he can bring up the past and exploit any weaknesses that are not fully healed yet. There is un-forgiveness for ourselves and others, bad habits, haunting traumas, and generational curses that all have to be dealt with in order to successfully overcome this attack from the rear ( Romans 8:1 There is therefor now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit./ 1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness).

The fourth, Benjamin explained, is the most damaging, as hard as that is to believe. This is the attack from the right, which is the attack from those who are the brethren. This attack from fellow believers who are struggling with their own demons and sins, will catch the believer off guard and hurt them the worst. This attack is usually committed by people who have religious demons and can not be helped because they believe a Christian can not have a demon. They are full of false doctrine and are self-righteous and perfect in their own eyes. They will accuse everyone else but themselves of being in the wrong, their pridefulness and haughtiness snares them ( 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction).

cc from
 False Brethren
These are the four attacks the Devil and his workers use to exploit and attack Christian believers. It is a simple strategy and has worked very well throughout all the years he has used them on us. The worst thing to do is to be ignorant of the Devil's wiles, and so be caught unaware and be snared. The biggest obstacle I believe most Christians have, is not believing there are demons, and that they can have them. Although a born-again Christian cannot be possessed by demons, they can have them residing in their bodies and souls. Their Spirit cannot be a residence for demons, but these other areas are. This is why there is so much sin among Christians today. They refuse to look at the possibility that they have demons and need deliverance (2 Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare if the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will).

If we are aware of the wiles of the Devil, then we will not be caught unaware. We can finally see the nature of this existence in the supernatural and learn how to not take things personally and to love our enemies. Even those who spitefully use us, because they are actually simply being used as tools for the demons to wreak havoc. We must love the person beyond the demons, and know they are held captive by this evil force. We need to try and help them overcome these demons, so they can be free and do the will of God. Christians must learn about demons and that as Christians we have authority to cast them out in Jesus name ( Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefuly use you, and persecute you./ Mark 16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover).

If a sincere Christian doesn't believe they can have demons, and they also don't believe the gifts are at work in the modern day church, then they are powerless in the battle. These kind of Christians are the ones that will attack from the right side. They are being used like tools by the Devil to sow discord and confusion among the brethren with false doctrine. These kind of Christians may sincerely believe in Jesus Christ, but they have religious demons which are snaring all those who they influence ( Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever).

We Christians who understand the nature of demons and believe the gifts of the Holy Ghost are in use today, we need to exhort, reprove, and help those who are in error with long-suffering and patience in love. We need to fight the urge to be offended and remember we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but this is a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places).

The demons who are in other people, whether Christians or not, know when a person who is aware of the nature of demons comes around. They rarely come into contact with a human who knows that they exist and are at work, so they become very defensive and influence the people they are in to try and get away from us or be rude to us, in order for those who are in bondage to them do not escape. They know that if we have the chance, we will try and make the people they are in become aware that they are there, and then teach them how to get them out. Then these demons will have to leave, because they know we have authority given to us in Jesus name. They will do anything they can to avoid this scenario ( Mark 1:34 And he healed many that were sick of diverse diseases, and cast out many devils, and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him).

Christians who don't believe the gifts are in operation today, and don't believe Christians can have demons, are very weak in the battle. The demons aren't worried about them when they come around, and even find it fun to manipulate them to turn on other Christians, or giving Christianity a bad name as a bad example to the unbeliever. Christians who don't have any knowledge of the nature of demons and think the gifts of the Holy Ghost are not for modern Christians, end up an enemy of the Christians in the battle for souls. They are actually so double minded, they eventually will turn on their own ranks and start attacking the true believers, thus helping the Devil win the battle ( Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children).

See, some people may get very angry about this post, and what I'm saying here. The thing I know, is it isn't them that are mad, but the demons inside them telling them that I'm some hateful person, or some judgmental person. Whatever the demons can tell them to manipulate and malign my character to make it seem like they are right and I'm the one in deep confusion. Yet, all I'm doing is reading the Bible and believing what it says. The Bible is not of any private interpretation. We are to be like-minded and the Devil is the author of confusion. I'm just keeping it really simple, the Bible says it, I believe it. If you want to be a help in the battle, then you would do the same, and if you are one that is attacking fellow Christians from the right, you better accept this reproof before God deals with you (2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation).

Philippians 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Getting Elderly People Online

cc from
This is a thought I've had which I feel strongly about. I want to start helping elderly people get on-line so they can write and be heard. This will help them express themselves and have people to interact with on a daily level. Elderly people have so much to talk about and so many experiences to share, it's a shame most of them are ignorant or afraid of using the Internet. What we should do when we can, is help them not be afraid of the Internet and help them understand it can be a place where they can share their wisdom and stories and interact with people.

As a lawn care man, I work with mostly elderly people. They are usually women, who don't use the Internet. If they do have the Internet, they don't know how to use it in a way to tell their stories and interact with people. The generation before the Boomers are dying off everyday, they are in their late 70s and into their 90s now. Their wholesome influence and Biblical world view isn't influencing the world they are living in anymore, and I feel they are needed to help these younger generations gain wisdom.

In the type of selfish urban post-industrial society we are in in America, we no longer have room for the elders in our lives and communities. Their children aren't willing to take them in and so they are sent off to retirement homes and care facilities to die. The result is that most of the older generation are tucked away out of sight, not able to interact with society any longer. If they are in their homes still, they are isolated and those who do come around usually are too busy to really talk and listen to them. The realities of our modern lives and the ever increasing slave labor force has most people speeding around trying to make ends meet, not having the time to really care what the elderly people have to say.

I have a customer who I am trying to work with and get connected to the Internet. What I tell her is to not think the Internet is something you can't be part of. These elderly people think the Internet is something they can't figure out and so are afraid of it. Their ignorance of how to use it and their doubt of whether they could successfully navigate it and use it, lead them to just simply not use the Internet. This is a shame, because they are missing a great opportunity to share their wisdom, and society is losing out on their influence.

What I'm trying to do is encourage elderly people that the Internet is a place where they can write and share their wisdom and life stories. It is a place where they can interact with others in a way they aren't able to now. The point I try to emphasis is, they are not too old to learn new things. Believing in people and challenging them to do things they think are impossible, is the way to bring to life dormant dreams and reinvigorate an old person's sense of well-being.

So, I leave you with this thought. We all have elderly people in our lives, and what I propose is let's help them get on-line and share their wisdom and stories before they pass away. Once they pass away their stories and wisdom will pass away too. Yet, if it's on-line it will be there for everyone to have until the Internet is gone. By getting elderly people on-line, our society will be better off, and we will install a new sense of well-being and dignity in the older people who feel they aren't needed or wanted in society any more. What do you think, are you with me?

This may be a helpful book, for elders and all of us:
